Cannot Start Apache in Console? Turn Off Skype

Only one usage of each socket address protocol/network/adress/port) is normally permitted. : make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80 no listening sockets available, shutting down Unable to open logs

If you use Apache In Console on your computer for testing webpages and sometimes when you start it an error occurs, it may be Skype's fault. Try to shut down Skype and see if problem solves. If yes, this means Skype occupied port 80 which is also needed by Apache server. Port 80 is more important to Apache than Skype, so in order to prevent Apache crashes in the future you can disable the use of that port for Skype. To do so, simply go to Skype's Tools->Options->Advanced and clear "Use port 80 and 443 as alternatives..." box. See image bellow. Skype option
