Tip. Skip some Microsoft updates

If you have set your computer to download updates automatically you probably don't see what are you installing when updates are downloaded. But you have the chance to choose and skip some unnecessary update (e.g. Windows Genuine advantage validation). To do that when you are asked to install updates click on Custom Install (Advanced) as shown in the screenshot

and deselect any unnecessary updates. Then agree with a notification that these unselected updates will not be downloaded in the future.
